Legal Secretary The candidate will type correspondence and other legal documents, including letters, memoranda, forms, and notes from dictation or written drafts. Proofread documents for formatting, punctuation, and consistency, and read for logic. Save documents in appropriate programs/apps as directed by attorneys and paralegals. Prepare and format PowerPoint presentations. Perform new client/matter intake, conflicts, and records intake processes. File, photocopy, and pend files as assigned by an attorney or paralegal. Input data into immigration software and on forms (e.g., Tracker). Maintain existing client files (electronic and physical), including timely filing all client-related correspondence and updating all internal systems. Handle miscellaneous tasks from paralegals (e.g., updating Tracker, iManage, etc.). Assist the Employment Practice Group with employment webinars. Attend practice group and other required firm meetings. Serve as backup to other team members, as needed. The candidate should have 4 years of experience as a legal secretary. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading skills. Strong organization, document management and prioritization skills. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
