Paralegal Duties: To be the 1st person of contact at our firm, showing clients a high level of professionalism while supporting attorney efficiency in the non-legal tasks necessary to offer the best client experience during clients difficult period in their lives. Provide administrative support and personal assistance to our team of professionals. Welcome guests and clients, on phone in and person, to our firm and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member. Open, Organize and Close electronic and hard copy case files. Create and update contacts using practice management software. Draft letters, emails, memos and simple court documents. Process and file firm mail and email. Schedule appointments, court hearings and conference calls. Schedule and book conference room use. Communicate with clients. Maintain and order office supplies. Copy and scan documents. Ensure operation and maintenance of equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Experience in Family Law is a significant benefit. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong people skills, communication skills, maturity and emotional intelligence to develop rapport with clients and other professionals. High attention to detail, very strong organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and use own judgment in decision making to adequately and efficiently meet all deadlines. Ability to take initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done. Ability to understand and follow specific and detailed instructions in oral and written form. Good writing skills, including excellent grammar, spelling and keyboarding skills. Ability to maintain a high level of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality. Microsoft Office proficiency.
