Trust and Estates Paralegal/Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Various tasks, including scheduling appointments, monitoring the calendar, meeting with clients, etc. Draft Wills, Health care proxies, powers of attorney, trusts, and related transfer documents. Preparation of Deeds and accompanying real estate transfer documents. Drafting correspondence, estate planning documents, gathering and identifying asset information, and preparing documents in accordance with the administration of probate estates. Complete administrative duties such as making copies, answering phone calls, and mailings. Maintaining case management system and files. Act as a witness for in-person signings of various documents. Handle matters independently from start to finish. Support other projects as needed. Other duties as assigned (prepare engagement letters, review documents for accuracy, marketing assistance, etc). Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 2 years of prior work experience/law firm experience, and prior private client/trusts and estates experience, a plus. Experience with CLIO or other case management program experience helpful. Management experience a plus. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Professional and accurate writing skills. Strong organization and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to learn and use advanced software programs and new technology and have a desire to seek and attend training to improve skills. Ability to work independently.
