This New England based firm has a Washington DC post that is notable for its attorneys. Well connected and well credentialed, many these attorneys have held prestigious posts in the federal government. The Washington office remains very much a small, branch office, but has the foundation on which to grow.
Trademark Paralegal (Hybrid/Location Flexible) The candidate will responsible for providing overall quality support for all aspects of U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution and portfolio management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing and filing new trademark applications, Statements of Use, Office Action responses, and renewal and maintenance filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; managing a docket and ensuring that all trademark deadlines are accurately recorded and monitored; reporting, processing, and maintaining assigned prosecution matters; corresponding directly with clients and foreign associates; and responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong written communication skills and at least two (2) years of experience with U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution. Familiarity conducting trademark clearance research, managing Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, and submitting filings with the U.S. Copyright Office is helpful. A Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is a plus. The successful candidate will be capable of producing high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support. Attention to detail, strong organization skills and advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, and Excel). Applicants should have proven project management skills, the ability to work independently, and prioritize tasks successfully.
