Manager of Attorney Recruiting Duties: Works with the Director of Student Recruitment, the Firm Hiring Partner, and departmental leadership to develop short and long-term hiring strategies to support summer associate recruitment efforts. Manages campus recruitment efforts including law school outreach and creating and maintaining relationships with law schools career services offices, law alumni, and other stakeholders. Oversee fall recruiting on campus and callback process, including follow-up efforts and events. Travels to on-campus events as needed. Performs and presents hiring outcome reports and analysis for the Hiring Committee and firm leadership. Manage and maintain student group partnerships, and plan and execute networking events on a regular basis. Develop and implement new strategies and programs to attract and identify student candidates. Oversees hiring for diversity pipeline programs. Manages all aspects of the summer associate program, including assignments, evaluations, feedback, and training. Plans and executes all social activities for the summer program. Attends summer associate events and other firm-sponsored recruiting events. Creates training and conducts annual interview training for all attorneys involved with student recruiting. Works with marketing to create branding and marketing for summer program and firm in connection with on campus recruitment and ongoing recruiting efforts. Partners on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to support attorney recruitment through coordination with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, affinity groups, and the Director of Career Development & Inclusion. Prepares summer associate and fall recruiting annual budget and reviews, monitors and approves related expenses throughout the year. Performs financial analysis and contract term review in line with firm procedures related to events. Assist as needed with lateral associate hiring, including scheduling of interviews, working with external recruiters, and other duties related to hiring and onboarding. Keep current on trends in recruiting through professional development seminars/conferences and peer networking. Develop and manage technology-related recruiting resources to enhance success of student recruiting and diversity recruitment (i.e. due diligence, attorney/recruiting statistics, market data, trends, lateral movement, former prospects, alumni, recruiting website, etc.). Responsible for other special project and related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. JD degree or Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. 6+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience, one of which was in a law firm or similar setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and related workplace issues. Understanding of the wide-ranging areas of law practiced by a full-service law firm. Ability to effectively prioritize department work requirements and delegate effectively. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills. Demonstrated experience with leading and supervising others. Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities. Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality. Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter when needed. Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team. Comfort working across offices and with colleagues in a remote environment. Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgement. Demonstrated managerial, administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong sense of urgency and professional client service orientation.
