Family Law Paralegal DUTIES: Working on all aspects of cases including preparing cases for filing. Managing case files. Maintenance of attorney calendars. Deposition and trial notebooks. Exhibits. Formatting legal documents. Drafting correspondence and dockets. e-filing. Document review and production. Daily and on-going data entry into our law firm management software throughout the day. Email management. General office administrative duties. Assistance with phone coverage when needed. Interacting with clients. Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate preferred. 2+ years of family law paralegal experience. Billing & calendaring experience. Must have family law experience - personal injury litigation experience a plus. Experienced in handling phones (phone manners and etiquette a must!) as well as other general office/administrative duties. Ability to work full-time with flexibility for the time needed during court prep/other. Anticipating attorney's needs, identifying problems and finding solutions. Ask questions. Articulate with strong communication, writing and editing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word with strong typing skills. Experience with Clio Law Firm Management Software a plus. Self-starter and self-motivated. Ability to multitask and prioritize a high volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines with minimal oversight while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Exceptional professional and interpersonal skills required; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of people. High level of integrity and personal accountability with sound judgment. Excellent attendance and reliability a must. high-level attention to detail, the ability to work independently but also be a team player, be a self-motivated, hardworking individual with strong communication and writing skills, editing, and be able to manage and prioritize high volume workload. Flexibility, good judgment, discretion, a strong work ethic and well-developed interpersonal skills are essential. Spanish speaking is a plus.
