One associate we know has worked for partners in three cities, and is perfectly comfortable handling projects from any of these lawyers. With some unexplained attrition of late, this firm has more work than it can handle, but continues to be highly discriminating in terms of the associates that are hired. Los Angeles office seeks an intellectual property technical specialist with a technical degree to work directly with attorneys in the IP department. The position involves drafting and understanding technical descriptions to be used in patent applications. Prior patent experience is preferred. Candidates for this position must posses an Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science degree. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing and oral communication skills, be well versed in Microsoft Office.
