Immigration Attorney The candidate will work for immigration law firm. Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts. Appear with individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for family-based matters, as well as for adjustment of status and naturalization. Prepare asylum applications and appearing with individuals at the Asylum Office for asylum interviews. Prepare filings before the Department of Labor in PERM matters. Handle client meetings. Draft briefs, motions, affidavits, letters, responses to requests for evidence/notices of intent to deny. Meet deadlines. The candidate must have 1+ years of experience working as an immigration attorney in the following areas: removal defense, family-based immigration, naturalization, asylum, waivers, vawa/u visas and/or employment based immigration. Spanish language fluency strongly preferred. Strong writing, oral advocacy, and research skills are required. Must have J.D. degree. Virginia Bar licensure strongly preferred.
