Associate Attorney The candidate will be responsible for legal research, legal document preparation, and administrative duties. Duties include organizing and completing necessary documentation, monitoring case statuses, answering client questions, attend hearings and attorney/client meetings. May also be responsible for case time management and billing. Prepare cases by gathering evidence; attend depositions, court hearing, conference calls, and client meetings; and review investigative findings. Consult with experts; engage expert witnesses; prepare and interview witnesses; complete discovery process; develop arguments and testimony; and complete filings. Obtain and retain clients by following-up on referrals. Maintain cost standards by monitoring expenses. Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes. Should have a J.D. degree with admission as a lawyer in the State of Texas. Must have some experience with immigration law, civil litigation and criminal law.
