Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate will provide a variety of support functions to attorneys in the areas of commercial transactions and contracts, lending and banking, and real estate and leases. Will prepare acquisition/disposition and finance closing documents. Perform and request title searches and prepare title commitments and title policies with attorney supervision. Review and analyze UCC, bankruptcy, litigation, and lien searches. Coordinate recording and payment of documentary stamp and transfer taxes. Prepare corporate minutes and resolutions, stock certificates and maintain corporate minute books. Communicate well with clients and vendors. Coordinate and attend closings. Maintain files and correspondence records. The candidate should preferably have 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal, closer or legal assistant in commercial transactions, banking, and/or real estate law. Familiarity with and ability to revise lending documents, loan packages, and closing statements is required. Experience in working with commercial contracts is needed. Must be highly detail oriented and work well with others is essential. Ability to work independently and to think analytically and critically is a must.
