Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Maintaining and organizing files, drafting documents, file documents at the Sangamon County Courthouse, maintain client relationships via telephone and written correspondence, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED. 1 year of college-level coursework in legal secretary, legal assistant, paralegal studies or other related field; or 2 years of progressively responsible office experience in a court or legal environment and customer service experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. Ability to utilize a personal computer with applicable software to successfully perform essential job functions of the position including word processing, analysis, information retrieval and tracking.
