Compliance Attorney The candidate will work closely with the Firm principal and managers. Responsible for keeping the firm compliant with the various consumer law regulations. Drafting policies and procedures related to compliance with regulations promulgated by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and other consumer laws. Working with clients to address client specific requirements. Providing employee training on compliance-based issues. Investigating and responding to consumer complaints filed with government agencies. Implementation of a quality control/compliance and audit programs. Preparing and responding to client audits and proposals. Overseeing and managing firm s third-party vendors. Recommending and designing process controls in response to legal or client requirements. Supervising non-attorney staff personnel. The candidate should have Law degree and Ohio Bar Passage. Creditor rights experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Ability to learn software platforms used by clients and vendors in the industry.
