Lateral Attorneys Duties: Representation of land owner/developers in the creation of special purpose districts (Districts) and public improvement districts ( PIDs ); Representation of landowner/developers in front of cities, counties, administrative agencies, legislative bodies, and other relevant entities; Representation of municipal utility and other special purpose Districts as general counsel and/or bond counsel; Administration of Districts to include: Drafting of documents pertinent to the organization and management of such Districts; Attending District Board of Directors ( Board ) meetings; Ensuring proper legal procedures are followed at Board meetings; Advising Boards of updates to relevant rules administrative and legislation. Requirements: JD Degree from ABA accredited law school; Currently licensed to practice law in Texas; 2+ years of substantive legal experience in the areas of real estate development and/or land use; Experience with Districts, PIDS, land use, TIRZ and 380 economic incentives.
