Legal Secretary The candidate should have ability to transcribe large volumes of legal documents, medical summaries, letters, reports, etc. Will maintains electronic and paper calendars for assigned attorneys including scheduling of legal events such as court dates, hearings, depositions, mediations, etc. with courts and other involved parties. Data input of attorney time entries for billing statements. Will uses computer programs and document management systems and takes advantage of new technology to enhance job performance. Organizes and maintains case files. Maintains positive "success for all" team relations. Position will serve as float for varying attorneys. 1+ years of prior legal secretarial experience is required. Prior workers' compensation/insurance defense experience is highly preferred. Must possess superior customer service skills, a positive "can do" attitude and the ability to work as a team and foster a "success for all" work environment. Must have ability to quickly type and transcribe documents with a general knowledge of legal and medical terminology. Should have knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation and grammar usage is imperative. Excellent organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills are needed to ensure handling of large volumes of assignments with varying deadlines. Atmosphere is fast-paced. Must be extremely detail oriented as accuracy in work production is essential. Prior legal secretarial experience required.
