Junior Associate Attorney (Transactional / Regulatory) The candidate will be focusing on healthcare information technology and data privacy and security. Will handle a diverse client base, including both privately owned companies and publicly traded firms, ranging from healthcare providers, provider groups, hospital systems, and ancillaries to software developers, data centers, and others along the technology continuum. Will involve significant work on information technology and health care regulatory matters, including, drafting and negotiating software purchase and development agreements, working with clients to develop privacy and security policies, and advising clients on the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, and related health care regulations.
Requirements: Strong academic background. Florida Bar license (or to be admitted within a year of being hired). 1+ years of relevant work experience. Previous law firm experience. Able and willing to work daily in the office. Experience with drafting a variety of agreements. Experience with assessing regulations. Proficient in standard law firm technology, including the Microsoft Office family of products and Lexis Advance. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a succinct and understandable manner. Detail oriented problem-solver with ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines. Collegial and collaborative mindset, with a client first attitude. Demonstrated understanding of contract drafting fundamentals. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client services in a timely and efficient manner.
