Paralegal The candidate will return emails, phone calls, inquiries, take detailed messages, and log the same in the firm practice management system, Provide exuberant first contact with potential and existing clients, attorneys, and agencies in-person and by phone. Manage client intake and set up new client files. Data entry and filing. Draft basic correspondence with the use of proper grammar/punctuation. Schedule and confirm potential and existing client appointments. Process incoming and outgoing mail/packages. Ability to make Courthouse and Post Office runs. Review and draft routine legal documents. Create and maintain case files. Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders. Conduct legal research (LexisNexis and Fastcase). Paralegal Certificate (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred). Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Clio Suite). Excellent customer service skills. Ability to multitask, work quickly, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of correct English language and grammar usage in written and verbal communications. Ability to follow instructions, systems, and procedures. Ability to apply instructions and/or guidelines as appropriate in the performance of duties. Ability to determine work priorities. Notary Public Certification (preferred). Must have excellent communication skills and work ethic. Our ideal candidate will be proficient and comfortable using all forms of technology on a daily basis from cloud-based practice management programs to Microsoft Office, E-Mail, E-Fax, and VoIP. This position requires a mature individual who is dependable, consistent, a quick learner, and can multitask.
