Insurance Defense Attorney The candidate's duties include: Preside over administrative assistant and paralegal teams responsible for setting client meetings, reviewing billing, tracking time records, and completing various insurance law projects; Represent clients with insurance coverage and civil litigation proceedings to argue court motions and in-house claims; Prepare all necessary legal documents for policyholders and cases, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence; Plan courses of first-party action with clients by carefully analyzing their needs while providing legal counsel; Develop and carry out promising legal defense strategies by performing legal research, auditing for coverage issues, and drafting legal documents; Analyze insurance client needs to identify options and propose solutions. Advise clients accordingly Conduct legal research, audit for coverage issues, and draft legal documents to develop and implement winning strategies for cases; Create quality legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence for use in court proceedings; Appear in court on behalf of insurance clients during legal proceedings to argue motions; Ability to work independently and meet all required needs of a heavy caseload is crucial; Must have some experience with legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis; Previous experience working in the insurance industry and prior insurance coverage experience or insurance defense litigation experience in an insurance law firm is required; Should have Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience representing clients for a minimum of 2 years; Strong public speaking, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills are a must; Experience using legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis required; Definitive decision-making, strong public speaking, and strong interpersonal communications skills are vital; Must hold a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and have a minimum of two years of experience representing clients.
