Legal Secretary/Assistant The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, professional, reliable, able to efficiently multi-task and can handle a busy desk. Must have 3+ years current experience on a civil litigation desk. Attention to detail is an absolute requirement. Paralegal skills a plus. Excellent written & oral communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to communicate and interact with clients, counsel and others on behalf of the firm in a professional and courteous manner. Must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively and courteously with your co-workers and manage multiple deadlines with grace. High level of proficiency with Microsoft 2013 Word, Excel, Outlook including the ability to generate TOCs/TOAs. Adobe Acrobat and Essential Forms also needed. Strong calendaring/docketing proficiency (Westlaw/Prolaw). Knowledge of civil filing and e-filing procedures as well as Federal and State court rules and procedures. Should be comfortable working with a variety of computer software programs and be capable of quickly learning new applications.
