Paralegal The candidate will join Family Law department. Preparing and transmitting correspondence. Preparing pleadings and discovery. Scheduling court reporters, process servers, witnesses, etc. Maintaining and reviewing calendar daily and proactively handling upcoming events, scheduling appointments. Maintaining paper and electronic case files. Assisting with scheduling and arranging travel when necessary. Completing all check requests including filing fees, witness fees, process servers, court reporters, experts, etc. Entering time in billing system. Communicating with client by telephone, mail, and email. Assisting attorney(s) with other tasks as relevant to enhance effectiveness. Maintaining client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. Must have Certification of paralegal training; associate degree in paralegal studies. Should have 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law/domestic relations. Must possess significant attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent grammar. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), WordPerfect, and Adobe preferred. Should have experience in typing dictation.
