Legal Secretary The candidate will include supporting attorneys by performing a variety of administrative duties, including drafting legal correspondence and documents, answering phones and greeting visitors, and communicating with attorneys, clients, medical facilities, experts, and court personnel. Transcribe and proofread legal documents. File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents. Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other meetings. Make travel arrangements. Effectively communicate with clients and offices. Process third party and vendor invoices. File documents with the court ahead of deadlines. Track deadlines and coordinate attorneys' calendar. Manage multiple files. The candidate must have associate Degree in Legal Studies or related field. High School Diploma Bachelors and other degrees a plus. Must have 3+ years experience as a legal secretary preferably personal injury. Familiarity with legal documents and terminology are essential. Should have proficiency with Wordperfect X6, MS Office, Amicus, Legal Solutions, Dropbox, Google Drive, Video, and Deposition Transcript Software. Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with a high rate of accuracy a plus.
