Workers Compensation - Paralegal DUTIES: The candidate will be involved in the daily and constant work helping the clients keep their cases well-organized and moving. Will frequently speak with clients to relay information about their case, schedule important events. Will be responsible for handling claims from inception through resolution. Contact clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical providers. Open new files; gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents. Fully investigate each case; maintain contact with clients on regular basis. Prepare documents and correspondence. Collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of income. Read and interpret medical records and reports. Organize and maintain case files. QUALIFICATIONS: Should preferably have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have 1+ years of experience in Workers' compensation Florida; 1+ years of experience in DWC-25; and 1+ years of experience as a Paralegal in civil litigation. Must be able to jump into an existing caseload and move cases forward; have a strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment; have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact; be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; have exceptional communication and written skills; and have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software. Knowledge in personal injury/workers' compensation is preferred.
