Workers'Compensation Paralegal Job Summary Law Firm is looking for a motivated and experienced Workers'Compensation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas. This role will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to provide support and ensure the success of the team. Responsibilities - E-file all court documents with OJCC - Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files - Conduct factual investigation - Prepare discovery documents and responses - Draft and serve subpoenas and notices - Coordinate depositions (IME and EMA appointments, conference calls) - Draft pleadings and motions to file with the court - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Aid attorneys discovery requests - Gather and maintain relevant information from a variety of sources (ex: medical records, witnesses, and clients) - Help with witness preparation - Prepare case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients Qualifications - Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience - Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred - Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas preferred - At least 2 years of working experience as a paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting - Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail Benefits Law Firm is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful. They must also have the ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
