Paralegal The candidate will work independently in estate planning, probate, trust administration, litigation, and business transactional. Draft client engagement letters and perform conflict checks. Create new client matters and maintain existing files. Draft business formation documents, operating agreements, articles of incorporation, form entities with Secretary of State, obtain EIN s, business licenses, and annual renewals. Prepare related documents for probate, wills, trusts and obtaining letters of administration, prepare inventories of assets. Monitor emails, daily task lists, case schedules and calendaring (highly important). Draft Wills, probate pleadings, guardianships and participate in Will signings with clients. Trust Administration. Draft distribution documents including preparation and recording of deeds and related documents. Proactively communicate with clients to obtain or provide information and to provide status updates on cases. Proofread and edit correspondences and legal documents. Do county E-filing in WA State. Effectively organize workflow, time management, and execute multiple projects concurrently while working under tight deadlines. Work and support an attorney with church organizations and non-profits. Assist attorney with family law cases as needed. Act as backup to the receptionist on the multi-phone lines system (as needed). The candidate should preferably have an Associate's degree. Should have 3+ years of paralegal experience. A paralegal certificate strongly is preferred. Should have 3 years of experience MS Office. General practice firm experience is preferred. Should have general estate planning knowledge and 3+ years experience with probate proceedings including, communication with clients, drafting of initial estate planning documents, assist with asset valuations and accounting. Should be proficient in Microsoft Office with superior typing skills and accuracy. Should have ability to independently docket, track, draft pleadings, and motions to meet deadlines, ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Should be personable and prompt, willing to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues, highly organized and exceptional attention to detail. Should have the ability to multi-task and track ongoing projects. Should work well under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor. Should have the ability to intake client projects from start to completion. Coordinate with the other attorneys and paralegals on client matters as needed, positive, can-do attitude is important. Should be skilled in drafting, proofreading, editing court pleadings and correspondences.
