Legal Secretary Duties: Answering telephone calls, greeting personal callers, and opening incoming mail. Record and store client information in database. Maintaining files and assisting other staff as needed and instructed. Performing a variety of legal secretarial, typing and clerical functions for Attorneys. Preparing requests for medical bills/records, notices, and correspondence of non-dictated nature on forms. Act as a witness during signing meetings. Maintain and update electronic files. Maintaining attorney calendars and schedule appointments. Assist Criminal Defense attorney with misdemeanor and felony clients. Maintain professional relationships with clients. Qualifications: Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal. Must have good level of computer working skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have can-do A?, happy disposition Ability to prioritize and work within a team. Extreme attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional comportment and appearance. Deadline conscientious and detail-oriented Ability to learn new software (Firm Central) with ease.
