Associate Attorney The candidate will interpret laws, rulings and regulations impacting the company and advise the business as appropriate. Should have strong academic credentials. Experience in litigation and consumer debt collection litigation desired. Must be a licensed attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Nebraska. Prior experience managing attorneys and legal staff preferred. Background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings a must. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Must have 3+ years of experience. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws is needed. Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations is required. Advanced knowledge and thorough understanding of collection law with respect to regulatory requirements essential. Experience in consumer credit and/or drafting and negotiating ideal. Should have ability to draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc. Should also have ability to write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents.
