The ideal candidate must be admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and have two years or more experience in immigration, civil trial practice or a similar area. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers are strongly preferred. This position has a heavy concentration in immigration cases, personal injury claims, workers compensation claims, and appellate research and briefing. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling juvenile petitions, political asylum, removal defense, appellate work, legal brief writing and family-based immigration visa petitions. The ideal candidate must be experienced and comfortable appearing in Connecticut State Courts and have experience appearing federal immigration courts. This position requires good customer service and friendly, compassionate client contact. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to our success. The ideal candidate is one is comfortable working in a relaxed, team oriented environment. This position also requires a cover letter outlining your experience and providing an outline of how you feel you can contribute and provide value to the law firm.
