Trademark Paralegal Duties: Responsible for paralegal duties supporting the Trademark Law Team, which is part of (Intellectual Property) Practice Group. Docketing of all US and foreign filings; administration and maintenance of domestic, foreign and international trademark files/records, including creating correspondence to and communicating with clients and foreign counsel; conducting trademark searches; preparing dockets and trademark summaries; preparing assignments; preparing paperwork for filings and assisting attorneys with the application and renewal processes along with other tasks as assigned. May also have the opportunity to handle patent overflow prosecution work and the handling of annuities. Qualifications: Associates Degree or higher with 2+ years of experience working as a Trademark Paralegal, required. Strong typing skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite. Litigation and patent experience preferred. Working knowledge of TMEP (Trademark Manual of Examining Procedures). USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) searching, trademark filing system familiarity (patent preferred) and working knowledge of procedures/practices regarding the application and registration of US and foreign trademarks. Docketing software experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Presents professionally, displays a positive attitude with high ethical standards. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, multitask and work efficiently while using good judgment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative. Sense of urgency. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
