Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Drafting letters and court correspondence. Drafting pleadings, discovery and responses. Obtaining and organizing exhibits and documentation required at different stages of the case. Coordinating and conducting witness interviews. Scheduling depositions and meetings. Developing evidence of harms and losses with clients. Maintaining regular contact with clients. Reviewing all medical records and regularly updating those records. Notice letters and correspondence regarding liens. Performs other essential functions necessary for the success of the department. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 2-3 years of personal injury paralegal litigation experience (medical malpractice experience preferred). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Positive attitude and general interpersonal skills and a desire to learn and improve. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deliver results, and maintain quality while working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to work effectively in collaboration with others. Proficiency and experience with broad range of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong research skills conversant in Lexis.
