Transactional & Litigation Attorney Duties: Provides a broad range of legal support to the partners of the firm. Must have real estate experience, as the company has a wide range of real estate ventures, and should have significant business transactional experience. Give accurate and timely counsel on a variety of legal topics, including drafting well-reasoned documents. Evaluate and advise on contract status, legal risks and legal liabilities associated with different transactions. Communicate and negotiate with internal and external parties. Communicates directly on behalf of the partners including those of a confidential or sensitive nature. May determine appropriate course of action, referral or response. Works closely with the partners to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. May manage a variety of special projects that require limited research. Performs word processing duties including letters, reports, or other correspondence. Maintains confidential and general files, records and other department project or service transactions. QUALIFICATIONS: JD Degree. Admittance to State Bar of Michigan (or ability for admittance). 2+ years of legal experience. Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands for time. Project management, record keeping and transaction skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, and Power Point).
