Subrogation & Recovery Department Attorney Candidate will be responsible for intaking, reviewing and handling 300+ claims per year,each involving a property damage loss $100K+. Will be responsible for coordinating the investigation, including retention and management of experts, identifying potential theories of liability,and client reporting, all to achieve a thorough and efficient process of triaging new losses for purposes of having viable claims assigned to production attorneys, with department attorneys retaining responsibility for evaluating and ultimately closing the non-viable claims. Will be responsible for litigating viable subrogation claims that are handled by our subsidiary, National Subrogation Services, in the range of$50K-$100K. Candidate must have 2+ years of experience drafting and arguing motions, preparing for and attending court conferences and depositions, investigating and analyzing recovery opportunities for property damage claims, drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses,and communicating with clients and opposing counsel. Excellent research and writing skills and California Bar license are required. Prior insurance or subrogation experience is preferred.
