Criminal Associate Attorney The candidate must have at least two years' experience and be able to zealously represent Hispanic clients in misdemeanor and felony matters brought in Criminal, Supreme Court and any concurrent matters including violation of probation hearings, violation of protective order hearings, DWI/traffic violations and hearings with the Department of Motor Vehicles within the New York metropolitan area. Must be able to work closely with social workers and investigators as part of their representation, as well as collaborate with Family Defense and Civil attorneys on matters stemming from involvement in the criminal justice system. Must have commitment to public defense work. Should have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a collaboratively and interdisciplinary setting, and have excellent research, writing and advocacy skills. Should have criminal Jury trial experience.
