Bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Assist managing attorney with the caseload. Research and Analyze legal issues to develop and implement a legal strategy. Case Review, Preparation, and Filing. Client Interviewing and Preparation. Draft and review affidavits, applications/petitions, legal briefs and memos, letters, motions, responses to RFEs NOIDs, and submissions for managing partner review and submission to USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and BIA. Ensure that client digital/physical files are maintained and organized. Explain legal theories and case plans to clients. Oversee and review work of paralegals and legal assistants and report to managing partner. Represent clients before USCIS, ICE, and the Immigration Courts primarily in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in the following types of cases: Asylum, Bond, Cancellation of Removal, DACA, Family Petitions, Naturalization, TPS, SIJS, U Visas, VAWA, Waivers, Withholding of Removal and CAT, etc. Stay up-to-date with immigration laws, news, and regulations. Any other tasks that may be needed for the firm's successful handling of cases. Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish required. Juris Doctor Degree required. Admitted to the NJ Bar (We may consider other bar admissions, inquire within) and in good standing required. Must have 1 year of experience in immigration law. Ability to drive, possession of a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel if needed. Able to work independently, with little to no supervision, to complete filings professionally and expeditiously. Advanced writing and analytical skills. Be punctual, professional, well-organized, and detail-oriented. Case management skills. Commitment to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Computer and office software skills (Microsoft and Google Suites, etc.). Excellent client service and communication skills. Excellent time management and productivity skills. Strong work ethic, dependable, honest, reliable, and flexible. Willingness to learn the intricacies of the Immigration Laws.
