Legal Secretary The candidate should have the ability to generate formal business correspondence in English. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals ranging from court staff, attorneys, and insurance adjusters all the way through the spectrum of working people to unsophisticated, poorly educated individuals who requires the most basic guidance in everyday tasks: scheduling appointments, reading letters, etc. Must have exceptional skills and the ability to multitask, working at a quick pace with a high volume of work. Should be to make and take phone calls on dozens of files simultaneously and make notes of all calls and tasks on the computer, meanwhile maintaining a high degree of accuracy in all documents generated. Must have the ability to work independently, exercise judgment as to the emergent nature of a client's need, and must be able to prioritize work identified by the attorney as routine work.
