Paralegal Responsibilities: Perform full administrative duties for attorney(s) under minimal supervision by establishing and maintaining office files as well as entering attorney billable/nonbillable time into Clio managing system. Review, analyze, and summarize case files including evidence in discovery and/or other documents produced in relation to respective cases. Review and draft routine legal documents: Produce legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, briefs, opinions, complaints, administrative decisions, orders, and subpoenas from verbal or written instructions, dictation, notes, rough drafts, or other materials which may be difficult to interpret and/or format. Proofread and correct prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax and content and; input, retrieve and update information using computerized databases. Create and maintain case files. Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders. Conduct legal research and prepare and assemble materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings, court appearances and hearings as well as trial notebooks and exhibits. Attend court settings, hearings, and trials with attorney(s). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or a Paralegal certificate. Criminal Justice majors are preferred. Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, customer service oriented with strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills. Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting (Be a team player).
