Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Monitoring calendars and assisting with meeting deadlines; Draft documents for attorney review; Input information into file database and case management softwar; Confirm case status with attorney; Schedule depositions, prepare and forward summonses and subpoenas, prepare and file discovery requests and responses; Generate status reports. Assist with client communication; Prepare case summaries and materials for mediation conferences and hearings; Monitor and obtain discovery responses, organize materials for team case review. Enhance trial proceedings by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed, taking courtroom notes. Participate in educational opportunities and strive to continually improve.
Qualifications: Paralegal or experienced litigation legal assistant. Familiarity with Michigan Court Rules. Accomplished in Word, dropbox, outlook. Experience with excel, Practice Master, true-filing/e-filing.
