Legal Secretary/Assistant The candidate will work for small firm with practice focusing on Real Estate, Estate Planning and Administration, DWI and Municipal Court Matters, Business Formation, Business Law and related litigation. Should have strong computer skills (Word/Quickbooks/Excel and typing/dictation skills) to work 3 -4 days per week with occasional full week to cover when other staff is on vacation. Small office atmosphere. Real Estate experience preferred. Job Duties: Answering phone and greeting clients; answering and directing inquiries. Reviewing, routing, and filing email, correspondence, reports and legal documents. Drafting form letters, preparing documents, typing letters from dictation, collecting information, organizing files, filing documents and files, scheduling appointments, notarizing documents. Maintaining attorney calendar. Communicating and obtaining information from clients and other parties; following-up on delegated assignments. Tracking client payments and billings in Quickbooks. Generating monthly client statements. Maintaining office supplies, checking inventory, placing and expediting orders.
