Senior Associate Attorney (Environmental and Land Use) Duties: Plaintiff-side environmental and land use law firm handling litigation and policy work throughout the United States and located in Berkeley, CA seeks a senior associate attorney for immediate hire. Our clients are primarily small environmental groups. Areas of law: public lands management (National Parks and Forest, federal Refuges), CEQA and NEPA, Proposition 65, Clean Water Act, CA Public Records Act, and FOIA. Be prepared to provide a writing sample and excellent references upon request. Responsibilities include: all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, policy review and analysis, legislative/regulatory drafting. Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice law in California. 3+ years litigation experience, more preferred. Excellent time management, critical thinking, and research and writing skills are required. Must be excellent in the use of Word and Excel with a willingness to keep skills up to date and willing to keep meticulous track of time for billing purposes. Less experience (e.g., those with significant paralegal experience or who have completed a judicial clerkship) will be considered.
