Associate Attorney The candidate handles and provides analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations impacting the company and advise the business. Should have JD degree from accredited law school. Should be licensed attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Nebraska. Previous experience managing Attorneys and legal staff is preferred. Background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings a must. Should have membership in the State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law in the state of Nebraska. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws is essential. Should have advanced knowledge and thorough understanding of collection law with respect to regulatory requirements. Experience in consumer credit and/or drafting and negotiating is ideal. Should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.Should have strong academic credentials, work-related experience and a willingness to work in a fast paced, high volume environment. Responsibilities will include a wide variety of tasks associated with debt collection. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, and a passion for collection law and commercial business litigation. Experience in litigation and consumer debt collection litigation is desired.
