Associate Attorney Duties: Providing legal support and guidance to person who have been injured. Preparing and filing pleadings in virtually all Maryland jurisdictions. Meeting with clients to analyze and complete discovery responses. Meeting with clients at to critically discuss the litigation or case strategy on how best to present their claim. Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice. Strategizing on how to resolve the clients cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner. Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes. Developing ideal arguments and representing clients in civil, workers' compensation and traffic proceedings. Building trustworthy relationships with clients. Preparing legal documents such as complaint and motions in a timely and accurate manner. Reviewing and organizing medical records with critical attention to details that impact the value of client's claim.
Qualifications: Admittance to the Maryland Bar or scheduled to take the Bar exam. Willingness to meet personally with clients. Ability to handle a high caseload. Experience or expertise in civil procedure and drafting pleadings. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Excellent public speaking skills. Adaptability and attention to detail. Ability to work on a case independently. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectively. Ability to think on their feet and adapt to new information quickly and decisively. Ability to manage paper intensive files and maintain the documents properly within the file structure.
