Nurse Attorney The candidate will manage direct responsibility, partial responsibility and/or supervision of paralegal or others: damages case preparation, formal discovery, work with expert witnesses in development of opinion testimony, work with lay witnesses, depositions, trial preparation, medical research, team meeting participation, legal research and writing, and court appearance. Direct client contact. Ultimate responsibility to the trial attorney assigned to the individual case. Work with variety of attorneys, paralegals, other staff. RN and JD degree is needed. Should have 3+ years of pqe. Knowledge, skills, abilities are as follow: Critical thinking and analytical skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Strong communication skills, both oral and written; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Ability to utilize electronic resources. Must have professional nursing education and experience to focus on the development of economic and non-economic damages claims in personal injury and wrongful death cases. Complex civil litigation including both state and federal venues is needed. Cases include automobile, premises liability, products liability and medical malpractice.
