Paralegal DUTIES: Provide support to the attorneys in managing their cases and deadlines. Assist in hearings, mediations, trials, and all aspects of litigation. Handle discovery requests, production, review, and collection. Prepare pleadings, medical chronologies, reports, spreadsheets, exhibits, pre-trial binders, statements of proof, and other legal and related documents. Coordinate and communicate timely with and to the court, arbitrators, experts, third-party vendors, other legal professionals, and clients. Perform case management such as set-up, record keeping, invoice handling, troubleshooting, archiving, and close-outs. File, research, service, scan, record keeping, schedule, cite check, document clean-up, client intake, fact find, and other case support tasks as needed. Some supervision over administrative support staff, dependent on experience. Perform other duties as assigned to assist the Managing Attorney. Takes initiative and hold self as accountable. Qualifications: A paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program is preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience. Should preferably have 2+ years of working relevant professional experience at a law firm, in-house counsel department, municipal legal department, or another legal setting; and 4+ years of intermediate experience working in Word, Excel, Adobe, and other Office Suite software programs. SharePoint, Teams, Wix, and other office application experience is a plus. Hands-on experience with electronic filing, online court record retrieval, and filing documents with the courts in general and in multiple counties are necessary. Must have strong writing and oral communications skills; excellent time and schedule management abilities; a sharp eye for detail and the bigger picture.
