Legal Secretary The candidate will receive and screen communications, including telephone calls and emails, and provide general assistance to clients as needed. Will review and prepare legal documents, such as briefs, wills, and trusts, motions, litigation preparation, etc. Filing of legal documents with state courts (e-filing knowledge a plus). General legal research to assist attorneys. Respond to letters and correspondence as needed. Regularly and accurately proofreads all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing. Update and maintaining client files and maintain a general working knowledge of open file statuses. Consistently providing friendly and helpful telephone support for assigned attorneys and/or receptionist relief. Flexible and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Maintains a professional demeanor in high-stress situations. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Prioritize workload and deadlines. Must have 0-3 years legal secretary experience. Must be excellent communicator, extremely well organized, self-starter, proficient in MS Office and have the ability to keep an office organized on task and on deadline.
