Bankruptcy Attorney The candidate will assist in investigation, recovery, and liquidation of assets, as well as providing services to debtor and creditor clients. Bankruptcy is a fast-paced and exciting area of law - every day is different. Take calls from prospective debtor clients, and close the sale. Meet with new and existing clients; complete the paperwork and file their case. Attend Section 341 meetings. Motions practice and plan confirmations (chapter 11). Investigate assets of debtors (this part is incredibly interesting). File adversary proceedings. Motions practice. Legal research. Court appearances. File proofs of claim, motions to lift stay. File adversary proceedings are required. Bankruptcy and/or litigation experience preferred, but not required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to build rapport with clients are required. Excellent writing and research skills are required.
