Associate Attorney The candidate will lead litigation efforts in federal district and appellate courts, state courts, and administrative tribunals. Drive settlement negotiations toward optimal resolutions for clients and public at large. Work with existing clients to develop new cases in a strategic fashion; conduct factual investigations, develop legal theories, draft pleadings and briefs, and otherwise manage new and existing cases. Collaborate in team problem solving, litigation strategy, and project management. Establish trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, outside co-counsel, clients, and industry partners. Licensed to practice law in the state of California required. 2 years of litigation experience required. California Bar required. Proven negotiation skills required. A commitment to public interest work and a passion human advocacy required. Prior Proposition 65 experience a plus. Ability to master new competencies as required to address client needs required. Effective, versatile, and action-oriented required. Proven research, analysis, writing, and oral advocacy skills required. Ability to travel as needed for case work, court appearances, and presentations required.
