Family Law Attorney Associate The candidate will provide the clients with outstanding representation and take full responsibility for case files. Take ownership and responsibility for all aspects of the client's case such as discovery, filings; mediation; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials. Meet 100% deadlines. Manage cases efficiently with the legal team. Conduct client meetings including consolations, and recommend strategies. Delegate and supervise work to paralegals and legal assistants. Attend, lead, and effectively communicate with the legal team in regular case management meetings. Review and revises motions, letters, filings, and documents prepared or received in each case. Develop and implement strategies that assist clients in resolving matters. Meet and/or exceed billable hours requirements.
The candidate must have compassion and the ability to build relationships with clients; a strong courtroom presence who enjoys litigating; enjoys mentoring and collaborating within the firm and seeks to be one of the best in this practice; the ability to read financial statements, and understand community property; confidence necessary to fierily advocate position to opposing parties and judges; the ability to use good judgment when helping a client set priorities along with being able to juggle tasks and quickly shift gears while being effective and efficient; conduct legal research and can manage client budget. Must be successful at advocating on behalf of clients with 1 year of family law experience; empathetic and able to maintain a reasonable and logical perspective; contribute to developing the strategy of a case; a collaborative colleague who enjoys working as a team member and considers other perspectives; know and understand every aspect of each of their cases at any given time; a member with a great work ethic and maintains composed with a good attitude when faced with adversities.
