Bilingual Criminal Defense Attorney The candidate will perform all aspects of criminal defense representation; including jury trials. Review case files outside of court. Appear in court for arraignments, pretrial conferences, and hearings. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members. Issue spot and develop strategies leading to efficient resolutions of cases. Negotiate and settle cases or prepare matters for a jury trial. Perform legal research and apply legal principles to legal problems. Draft pleadings and present those statements of law, facts, and arguments clearly, logically, and effectively both written and orally, and effectively manage a substantial caseload. Must be Licensed to practice in Texas and is in good standing. Bilingual in Spanish is required. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver's License. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
