Civil Litigation Attorney The candidate's responsibilities include: Taking depositions of parties and witnesses; Conducting discovery; Performing legal research; Remaining current with developments in the law; Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents; Evaluating complex injury and liability issues; Working with expert witnesses; Communicating with clients, insurers, opposing counsel and courts; Appearing and arguing at hearings, bench and jury trials: first and second chair. Must have advanced knowledge of substantive and procedural law. Should have strong written and oral advocacy skills. Must have a law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Computer skills preferred, including Word, Excel, Practice Management system this office is paperless. Must have a law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Licenses in Missouri and Kansas.
