Associate Family Law Attorney The candidate will work independently, develop case information, and settlement options; track cases; and work closely with paralegals/legal assistants. Keep cases on track with organized files; monitor calendars; meet deadlines; document actions; research case law; input information into file database and case management software; confirm case status with support staff and communicate regularly with clients. Prepare pleadings; monitor discovery responses; organizing materials for a team case review. Review standard court documents; draft letters; write and review discovery; respond to opposing counsel; appear/represent clients at court hearings. Perform occasional heavy lifting of file boxes and documents. The candidate must have an Undergraduate and J.D. degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Must be currently active with the California State Bar Association without disciplinary actions; strong organization and communication skills. Attention to detail is extremely important. Reporting, research, legal administration, litigation knowledge, client relations, organization, planning, attention to detail, confidentiality, and dependability are all a must.
