Legal Secretary The candidate will prepare and electronically file pleadings and motions. Will be scheduling, calendaring, coordinate and confirm court dates, appointments, and meetings. Arrange delivery/mailing of legal paperwork. Subpoena witnesses and documents. Client interactions and communications. Organize legal documents to assist attorney in preparation of contested hearings, trials, and depositions. Open, close and transfer files within firm. Meet personally with clients. Type correspondence and legal paperwork. Photocopying and scanning of all legal documents. Accurately accounting for and inputting time into billing software. Day-to-day administrative tasks typical of a busy law firm. The candidate should have Prior law office experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is mandatory. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and have exceptional planning and coordinating skills. Ability to set priorities and perform well in this fast-paced environment is required. Ability to build rapport with clients is needed. Must have superior verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to draft appropriate e-mails, letters and other correspondence to clients and other law firms. Superior grammar, proofreading, and editing skills needed. Must have superior computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and practice management/billing software. Knowledge of e-filing and court procedures is required. Must be detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, work as part of a team, and handle multiple projects.
