The ideal candidate should be hard-working, dedicated, and eager to learn. ## Job Responsibilities - Transcribe and proofread legal documents - Accurately file documents with the court ahead of deadlines - Process third party and vendor invoices - Arrange travel arrangements for attorneys - File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents in a timely manner - Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate - Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other meetings - Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders ## Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (Required) - 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary (Required) - Familiarity with legal documents and terminology (Required) - Working knowledge of litigation management software systems (Required) - Ability to type with a speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy (Required) - Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Required) - Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines (Required) - Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues (Required) - Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor (Required) - Superior written and oral communication skills (Required) - Spanish is a big plus (Preferred) - Paralegal Certificate (Preferred) ## Benefits - Health insurance - Paid time off ## Salary $25 - $35 an hour ## Location Concord, CA 94520 ## Job Type Full-time ## How to Apply If this sounds like you, please submit a cover letter and resume. # Overview is looking for an experienced legal secretary to join their growing team.
